The Monzino Group in 2009 has become part of one of the most prestigious international associations, “Les Henokiens”, headquartered in Paris. This association admits only bicentenary companies that are still managed by the founder’s descendants and the founder’s family must still hold the majority of shares or of rights to vote. In Italy only a few companies can obtain this membership, a little more than ten, among about forty members worldwide.
It is member of the Associazione Italiana delle Aziende Familiari “AIdAF” (Italian Association of Family-Owned businesses) the only one in Italy dedicated specifically to small, medium and large family-owned companies and corporations. Its mission is to guarantee the endurance of family-owned companies in the processes of generational transition and does lobbying in Italy and in Europe to promote new role protecting family business duration.
It is founding member and sponsor of “Milano per la Scala” (Milan for the Scala Theatre), a private rights foundation established in 1991. Its goal is to promote, endorse and support the Teatro alla Scala. It undertakes to help the Teatro alla Scala maintain its high-standard artistic productions and infrastructure, without interfering with its artistic choices.
The Group’s companies are all members of “Dismamusica”, (Confcommercio Imprese per l’Italia), the Italian Industry Association o of musical instruments and music editions. It offers legal and administrative consulting services to its members and organizes promotional actions such as trade shows, conventions, research. It collects sales data and co-operates with other international Industry associations.
Since the sixties, it is member of NAMM, the international trade association with the mission to unify and strengthen the global music products industry and to and increase active participation in music making. The association also organizes the most important event of the sector worldwide: the Global Summit where the most influential experts discuss specific music market topics.
